Unsung hero flowers for spring weddings

Spring flowers are known for one thing, Peony season!! We all love ‘em, we all want ‘em, but spring has so many amazing floral varieties that I feel just get slept on! Here are some of my favorites as a florist:

Forsythia - Yes, its usually the first flower we see in those cold March and April days and its bring so much joy. It can be cut and used in floral design and it packs such a punch. These branches look amazing in ceremony urns and meadows where they can really keep their length for maximum impact.

Vibernum - These little cuties look like tiny Hydrangea but come clustered on large branches. They add so much texture and interest to anything they are added to. I love putting them in spring bouquets because their woody stems make the perfect structure while their blooms add so much whimsy.

My one true love, Hellebore. These flowers are in my eyes the best of all, there stems are long and strong, they add movement to any arrangement, and their color is so crisp and fresh. I love using these in centerpieces, especially in a white and green color palette they add something different and bridge the two colors together perfectly. Spring to me is a fresh awakening and Hellebore imbody that perfectly.
